Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service apply when you use this website or book or participate in tutoring provided by Patel Learning Solutions. Booking a session confirms that the person making the booking has read and agrees to these terms for themselves and, when applicable, for the participating student.

Tutoring services

Patel Learning Solutions provides online Math, Chemistry, SAT Math, and ACT Math tutoring. Session content is selected based on the student’s course, materials, goals, and the information provided at booking. Tutoring is educational support and does not replace a school, teacher, academic adviser, or testing organization.

Parent or guardian responsibility for minors

A parent or legal guardian must book and authorize tutoring for a student under 18. The parent or guardian is responsible for providing accurate information, monitoring the minor’s participation as appropriate, and ensuring a safe and suitable online learning environment. Communications and payment matters for minors may be directed to the parent or guardian.

Booking, payment, and pricing

A session is confirmed only after the applicable booking steps and payment are completed. Unless a different written arrangement is made, payment is due upfront through the designated third-party booking or payment service.

• Standard 1-on-1 Tutoring: $90 per 60-minute session.
• Priority Tutoring: $150 per 60-minute session when booked within 24 hours, subject to availability.
• SAT Math Intensive: $249 per student for the complete four-session cohort. One payment covers all four sessions; individual sessions are not sold separately.

Priority Tutoring uses a separate booking arrangement from the Standard 1-on-1 scheduler. SAT Math Intensive enrollment is completed through its designated Stripe Checkout link. Prices may change for future bookings, but a change will not alter a session or cohort enrollment that has already been confirmed and paid.

Cancellation, rescheduling, no-shows, and make-up credits

For Standard Tutoring, a cancellation or rescheduling request made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session receives a make-up credit for the full session payment. Requests made less than 24 hours before the session and no-shows are not eligible for a make-up credit.

Make-up credits are valid for one month from the original session date, have no cash value, and must be scheduled subject to availability.

Priority Tutoring bookings are reserved specifically for short-notice sessions. Cancellations, rescheduling requests, and no-shows for Priority Tutoring are not eligible for a refund or make-up credit.

If Patel Learning Solutions must cancel a session, the affected session will be rescheduled or the payment for that session will be returned.

Zoom and online requirements

Sessions are delivered online through Zoom. The student or family is responsible for a compatible device, reliable internet connection, working audio, and any course materials needed for the session. Participants should join on time from an appropriate learning environment. Technical problems on the participant’s side do not automatically extend a session or create a make-up credit.

Student and parent responsibilities

Students and parents or guardians agree to:

• Provide accurate booking, course, and contact information.
• Share relevant assignments or topics with enough time for reasonable preparation.
• Attend promptly, participate respectfully, and complete the student’s own academic work.
• Follow school, course, and testing rules, including rules concerning outside help.
• Avoid recording a session without advance permission from all participants.

Materials and intellectual property

Original explanations, worksheets, notes, and other materials provided by Patel Learning Solutions remain the property of Patel Learning Solutions unless stated otherwise. They may be used by the participating student for personal educational purposes but may not be sold, publicly posted, distributed, or used commercially without written permission. Students retain ownership of materials they provide, and they confirm they are permitted to share those materials for tutoring.

Acceptable use

The website and tutoring services may not be used to harass others, disrupt sessions, violate privacy, gain unauthorized access, distribute harmful code, impersonate another person, or facilitate cheating or other academic misconduct. Service may be ended for conduct that threatens safety, is abusive, or materially interferes with tutoring.

No guarantee of academic outcomes

Tutoring is intended to improve understanding and problem-solving, but outcomes depend on many factors outside the tutor’s control. Patel Learning Solutions does not guarantee any grade, test score, admission decision, scholarship, course placement, or other academic result.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Patel Learning Solutions is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the website or tutoring services, including academic decisions, lost data, or third-party platform interruptions. Any direct liability relating to a particular paid session will not exceed the amount paid for that session. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.

Third-party services

Zoom, scheduling, payment, analytics, email, and hosting services are operated by third parties under their own terms and policies. Patel Learning Solutions is not responsible for a third party’s independent services, availability, or handling of information.

Changes to services or terms

Services, availability, and these terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date above will be revised when updated terms are posted. Changes apply going forward and do not alter a session already confirmed and paid unless the parties agree otherwise.
